100% HANDMADE, 100% GORGEOUS, 100% UNIQUE
Our beautiful yarn bowls have been made exclusively for The Knit Kit Company just for you. Made in East Lothian, Scotland by a talented ceramicist they are the perfect gift for any dedicated knitter - at the beginning of their knitting adventure or anywhere along their journey.
A yarn bowl, in case you've not come across one before, is a bowl that you use to keep your yarn in whilst you knit. It has a special shaped groove in it which you pass the end of your yarn out of. It keeps your yarn clean, free of tangles and keeps those naughty little cats from bouncing your yarn ball across the floor!
Our yarn bowls make beautiful gifts for yourself or someone that you know loves knitting. They are so lovely that I'd go so far as to say you could even get one if you don't knit and just keep all your lovely bits and bobs in them!
Our yarn bowls are one of a kind - no two are the same so each one has its very own listing, quirks and character. Want to check out the others then click here. They are hand made in East Lothian in Scotland by Jemma, a talented ceramic artist.
Jemma lives in East Lothian and has a passion for ceramics. Working from Haddington she creates beautiful fluid designs which are natural, rustic yet enduringly modern. Her work fits perfectly in a traditional or a modern home. Focussed on colour and contrast she has created these incredible yarn bowls for your pleasure!
SUPPORTING BRITISH BUSINESSES
The Knit Kit Company does its best to support local businesses, and we’re proud to have partnered with Jemma on this project.
When you buy one of our kits, our yarn or our products from our partner producers, you’re helping to support small businesses that value quality over everything. However, most importantly, you’re buying something that has been crafted with care, love, and attention to detail. Something you’ll want to use time and time again to give to your favourite people… or, you know… er, keep for yourself.
