ERRATA & NOTES ON PATTERNS

Very occasionally through feedback and the evolution of a pattern, we may release changes. You’ll find details of errata here with the full story as to when you would apply them. If you’ve got any other questions about our patterns then please just get in touch with us.

ERRATUM: FALA HAT | SKI MERINO & BIG WOOL

Relevant only if you have the original pattern with a 46 stitch cast on.

Our original Fala Hat was written to be sold with super chunky Roma yarn by Debbie Bliss, but it's no longer available for us to buy for you! We now sell this kit with our very own Ski Merino – it’s lovely and soft but the gauge is slightly different to Roma. So, if you’re knitting with the Big Wool and you’d like an extra slouchy fit (or have a larger head) then you can stick with the original pattern. If you’d like something a tad more snug and fitted then we suggest that you follow these new changes.

ERRATUM: URCHIN HAT | SKI MERINO & BIG WOOL

Relevant only if you have the original pattern with a 46 stitch cast on.

Our original Urchin hat was designed to be made with Roma Yarn by Debbie Bliss but we’ve introduced Big Wool by Rowan to our collection which knits up at a slightly different gauge. If you’ve chosen to knit the Urchin hat with Big Wool and want an extra slouchy style (or you are knitting for someone with a larger head!) then just follow the original pattern. However, if you’d like a more snug and tailored fit, then follow these new changes.

ERRATUM: SIRENA SNOOD | SCUBA MERINO

Relevant only if you have the original pattern with a total of 123 rows.

Our original Sirena Snood was written to be made with Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino but we now sell this kit with our very own Scuba Merino, which is super lovely and very similar to the Baby Cash. However, the new ball yardage is very slightly less than the Baby Cash and as such we’ve provided some amendments to the pattern for those of you who choose to make it with Scuba Merino (or Merino 120).

NOTE | CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLES

Download this info guide if you have a kit with circular needles, and are not sure how to use them!

Our original Elysia Baby Blanket knit kit was knit on 40cm long straight needles. We’ve made an improvement to this pattern by introducing our knitters to circular needles. Using these circular needles makes it easier on the hands, arms and wrists and makes transporting your knitting much easier.

NOTE: LOUGHRIGG HAT | YARN QUANTITIES

We originally designed our Loughrigg Hat to be sold with Dovestone DK (sold in 100g hanks). Dovestone DK has now been discontinued, so we now sell this pattern with our very own lovely Scuba Merino, and occasionally Merino 120. Your 50g ball of Scuba Merino or Merino 120 should be a sufficient amount, however on occasion some balls of yarn are slightly shorter than their advised length, so please read this note if you have any concerns.
