100% HANDMADE, 100% GORGEOUS, 100% UNIQUE

We are very excited that we have sourced these beautiful knitting needle cases, exclusively handmade in small numbers for The Knit Kit Company.

They are custom made to neatly fit our knitting needles, alongside your stitch markers and snips, without taking up much room – the perfect and pretty choice for on-the-go knitting.

Made here in East Lothian, Scotland by a talented sewist and quilter, they make the perfect gift for yourself, or for anyone who loves knitting!

 They are all made from 100% limited issue designer fabric, and a 100% cotton interlining, making them soft, squishy, compact and yet durable. The cases with the patchwork accent are sewn with a contrasting linen-cotton blend background and are entirely unique, with a great deal of thought and care worked into them to create a pleasing look.

All can be washed at 30 degrees and ironed on medium.

 We feel each case merits its own listing to showcase its own quirks and character.

No two cases will be exactly the same, as is the nature of small scale handmade makes.

If the same fabric is used again to make another case, it won’t be very often, and the lining will be different, so bear that in mind if you fall in love with a fabric! The patchwork cases are entirely unique.

I am thrilled to have been approached by The Knit Kit Company for this collaboration. I have been sewing since my mother finally allowed me a needle and thread aged 7, and it is more than a hobby for me; it is a passion and a joy.

It is safe to say I am a fabric addict, all too often to be found daydreaming about prints and colour. I love the colours, print designs, the way pretty fabrics soften every space, making you feel cosy, happy, nostalgic, or even distinctly modern – and making you smile whenever you see ever-blooming flowers or a sweet mouse peeking from your bag! I have actively (mostly) resisted making my sewing a business to ensure it is always a joy for me, and that fun, care and love goes into each of my quilts and pieces.

The ethos of the Knit Kit Company, with its passion for and emphasis on small scale, unique, local, artisan products, persuaded me to collaborate and design a knitting needle case for the modern-day knitting community. I hope that I can share with you my love of making the everyday a little more beautiful!
