The Tiddler - Jane's Merino Baby & Toddler Jumper Knit Kit

Our Tiddler Jumper (sweater) knit kit for babies and toddlers is just the cutest little top to make for your favourite small people! Available to mix and match in any of our lovely merino wool colours. 

This kit is a step on from our other kits and is designed to be suitable for people with some knitting experience already and wider knowledge of some knitting techniques.  For example in this kit you need to 'pick up stitches', do colour-work from a chart and assemble the item at the end. 

It would be ideal for someone with knitting experience or a confident early stage knitter who is looking for a greater challenge. Some of the skills are not specifically covered in the learn to knit booklet (picking up stitches and colour-work for example) and the kit requires a basic level of understanding of these techniques.

Every baby and toddler deserves some handmade baby clothes, and this jumper (or sweater to our American friends) is perfect for you to make for your own baby (or someone else’s). You just need to choose your favourite colour combo!

WHAT WILL YOU LOVE ABOUT THIS KNIT KIT?

The Tiddler - Jane's Jumper knitting pattern uses the knit and purl stitches to create basic techniques called stocking stitch but you also use a chart to teach you how to make the coloured fish in the body of the jumper.  You'll learn how to make a button-hole and to shape the shoulders of the jumper! Lots of new skills. Don't worry, we've kept it as simple as possible but this kit would suit someone with a little bit of knitting experience best.

This kit makes a lovely gift for a friend or family member who is going to have/has had a baby, and lets them enjoy improving their knitting skills whilst making something super special!
