...our newest kit and collaborator!
Eve and I met over the internet (who doesn't these days?) when she sent me a marvellous photo of her and her friend wearing her newly knitted hats which she had made from one of our kits. I thought she looked like a jolly sort so I followed her on Instagram and all sorts of fun photos kept popping up. I thought, Eve's my kind of girl!
One thing led to another and I bought some of her (whisper whisper) willies for my friends to cheer them up over lockdown and then asked Eve if she'd like to try her hand at something new...
And the Eve Headband and Wristies kit was born. A really sweet and gorgeous knitting kit which would be perfect for the blossoming knitter. An easy knit with pretty patterns just made out of knits and purls. Just in time for spring too when these are the absolute perfect accessories.
Here's a bit more about Eve in her own words...
"I started knitting (excluding a couple of very wonky and quickly abandoned attempts aged about 11) with the Fala Pom Pom Hat kit from The Knit Kit Company in 2018 as something to keep my hands busy to break up endless scrolling in the evenings after work."
"I was quickly hooked and soon had made a matching scarf followed by bobble hats for everyone for birthdays and Christmas. Since then I’ve knitted countless hats, jumpers and even socks for friends and family and crocheted so many toys and ornaments that I had to start selling them!
In designing the wristies and headband pattern I wanted to make a really beginner friendly pattern, using just the two most simple stitches to showcase a few different textures and patterns along with really simple construction techniques. Having been a beginner not that long ago I love to think that this might inspire a new knitter to learn a lifelong skill."
"For anyone who makes or gifts it, I hope it will give as much enjoyment as I had making it."

It's so amazing to collaborate with someone who started off with one of our kits, I hope she's an inspiration to you all!
If any of you feel like a collaboration might be right up your street why not get in touch - who knows what will happen!
